NativePrompt reads prompt text from the ChatGPT composer only after the user selects Improve. Processing occurs locally and transiently inside the extension. Prompt text is not sent to the developer, stored, sold, shared, or used for analytics or telemetry.
Permissions
https://chatgpt.com/*lets the extension display its Improve control and read or replace composer text only after the user's explicit Improve or Apply action.storagestores only whether the user dismissed the one-time usage hint. It does not store prompt text.
The extension never submits a ChatGPT message automatically.
Packaged rules and networking
Reviewed OpenAI/Codex guidance is packaged with the extension. No executable logic or rule update is downloaded at runtime. Chrome distributes approved extension updates through the Chrome Web Store. Normal prompt improvement makes no developer-controlled network request.
